Photo Walks of London is a new way to enjoy the sights and views of the historic city while helping you understand your camera equipment at all levels of proficiency. You will learn how to use your camera creatively and ensure you have classic photographs to take home.
Londoners Ian Hardy and Billy Hautot came up with the idea. They point out interesting architecture, famous buildings, pubs and taverns used by kings, queens, poets and writers including Dickens, Shakespeare and even Queen Victoria. Their two-hour walking tours are leisurely and you will be tutored in taking the very best photographs with any camera from digitals through to professional SLRs.
The Historic tour leaves at 9.45am from Westminster Station and takes in Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, St James Park, the Changing of the Guard and Trafalgar Square and ends with a leisurely walk to Covent Garden.
The Pool of London tour starts at Tower Hill Tube Station at 12.45pm and goes past the Tower of London, St Katharine's Dock, Tower Bridge and London Bridge to Leadenhall, a Victorian market in the centre of the financial City.
The South Bank tour begins at St Paul's Tube Station at 3.45pm. It goes past St Paul's Cathedral, over the Thames via the Millennium Bridge to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. It continues along the river, with wonderful views of the city, then over Waterloo Bridge for classic views of the South Bank.
The experience doesn't finish when the tour ends. Send your images via the Internet to Photo Walks of London's website gallery.
