Likiliku is on Fiji's Malolo Island in the Mamanuca archipelago. Visitors travel the 25km from Nadi by boat, seaplane or helicopter and while the bures look like a traditional Fijian village from a distance, once you are there, you will experience five-star luxury. The adults-only resort is perfect for honeymooners.
Guests are greeted at Masima Island, a small island, connected to Malolo Island by a walkway. They are greeted by warriors in traditional dress and are presented with leis and welcome drinks.

In the Malolo dialect "Likuliku" means "calm lagoons or waters" and those waters on the fringe of a coral drop-off are perfect for snorkelling.
Forty-five bures come in three styles and 10 of them are over water. They are modelled on typical Fijian village houses, with 22 craftsmen from the Lao group of islands overseeing construction. There is hand-crafted timber inside, traditional bush poles lashed together with coconut fibre, wild bamboo woven for wall linings and thatched palm roofs.
Each bure has air-conditioning, a music system, DVD player, king bed and private balcony. Views can be enjoyed from outdoors or indoors even from the bathtub. Each day a chef's canapé plate is delivered to your bure. Guests snorkel straight from the deck and rinse off under an outdoor shower.
Gourmet cuisine is a big part of the Likuliku Lagoon experience. All meals are included in the cost of your stay and the kitchen is overseen by Australian executive chef Shane Watson and his team.
Fijiana Restaurant is the centrepiece, with views over the Lagoon, gardens and pool. The cuisine is fresh and creative, making the most of local produce seafood and tropical fruits are prepared in mouth-watering ways. It changes each day and a mini-degustation is served at lunch and dinner times. There are also themed evenings highlighting local cultural elements.
Dua Tale Bar and Lounge is the best spot for pre-dinner drinks or to take a break from the sun during the day. "Dua tale" means "one more".
