Hilton Fiji Beach Resort

Thursday, October 11, 2007

Denarau Island is joined to Fiji's mainland by a small causeway. It's just 20 minutes from Nadi Airport and 10 minutes from Nadi town. It is home to premier resorts, a world-class golf course, tennis complex and Port Denarau. The island is reclaimed mangrove which has yielded dark grey sand, but resort pools are sublime. Everything on the 2.55 sqare kilometre island is manicured to perfection.

The Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa is one of those special places to stay. Its accommodation ranges from three bedroom villas to studio beachfront villas.

Three-bedroom villas have spacious living and dining areas, with an added 60 square metres of pool and terrace. A poolside barbecue means you can prepare your own specialty or have one of the hotel chefs step in. Ensuite bathrooms offer indoor/outdoor bathing, and a golf cart is provided for easy access to resort facilities.

Twenty one square metres of private decks give two bedroom villas plenty of private space. Right on the beachfront with uninterrupted views, they have two living areas, large bathrooms and are perfect for two couples or a family.

One-bedroom villas sit on absolute beachfront and have 10 square metres of outdoor decks with daybeds, blending indoor and outdoor living. Studios are just a few metres from the beach. They are elegantly furnished and have wonderful views.

Nuku Restaurant boasts some of Fiji's best cuisine. The chef cleverly blends classic favourites from around the world with the distinctive flavours of the islands. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in Nuku and there's nothing like sipping a cool cocktail as the sun slips below the horizon.

The spa has six treatment rooms with various types of massage — Thai, Swedish, remedial and hot stone.

Denarau Golf and Racquet Club is just five minutes away by complimentary shuttle. Its jewel is the 18 hole, 6538 metre, par 72 championship course. It meanders through wonderful landscape with water hazards on 15 holes. It is regarded as the finest and most challenging course in the South Pacific.

Six grass and four floodlit synthetic tennis courts have professional staff and a shop with everything you may need. Adult and junior clinics and private tuition are available.

Local waters are used to the full with boating, scuba diving, parasailing, jet skiing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, sailing and windsurfing. There is also a complimentary Kids' Club.

I stayed at Sofitel last year whilst visiting Fiji. It was pure paradise. The staff were friendly and willing to cater to our needs at any time of the day or night. The food was amazing and the head chef at the Lagoon cooked anything i wanted even if it was'nt on the menu. The resort was amazing aswell. It was clean and had a very relaxing environment. The locals were so welcoming. Out of all of the places i've travelled Fiji has got to be the best. What's not to like? And as for Dave I'm sorry but i think Fiji might be out of your league! God Bless Fiji!
WENT WITH WHOLE FAMILY . BABY ALSO .SHE WAS ONLY 3 MNTHS AT THAT TIME.SUPER HOLIDAY .NEVER HAD SO MUCH FUN EVER. BEST TIME.EVEN THE BABY ENJOYED TO THE FULLEST.CANT WAIT TO GO BACK.PEOPLE ,ENVIRONMENT, FOOD ,RELAXATION AND EVERYTHING THERE MADE US THINK THAT HEAVEN MAYBE LIKE THIS.THANKS TO THE PEOPLE THERE.GOD BLESS FIJI.
We thought fiji was absoloutley beautiful! We originally went for sarahs birthday and ended up getting married over there aswell...the fijians were so helpfull and with only 3 days notice of the wedding they gave us the most remembered day of our lives with no fuss at all! the resort we stayed at we made heaps freinds and we will definatley be back every year and stay in touch with the staff over there...the food was yummy and the service was awsome! we give fiji 11 stars out of 10!!
Been over to Fiji a few times, love it, been to Bali a few times too, and Bali does not come close to the relaxed ambiance of Fiji. However some people may find there is not much nightlife and action in fiji, but the coral and nice, friendly people who don't hassle nearly as much as in Bali make up for all that to me. I would not like to stay in Nadi tho, i prefer the islands, but nadi is still very nice. Except that guy who stole my towel and cam lol....
Dave from the ACT seems like a very clever man, judging from his spelling of Sheraton. Probably the type of guy who prefers Bali ....... Fiji, Nadi, and the Sheraton were just as beautiful as the people who live and work there. There should be a customs office at Nadi airport to check for other feral Australians like Dave.
I LOVED FIJI AND THE PEOPLE SO MUCH I MARRIED ONE! HE IS THE MOST
Fiji is one of the best places to visit for a real R
I went to Denarau on my honeymoon and it was absolute magic. We stayed at the Trendwest resort, which had gorgeous beachside bungalows, an enormous swimming pool (complete with swim up bar) and some of the friendliest people I have ever met. We went to day spas, snorkelled over coral reefs and enjoyed great food. I would recommend Denarau Island as a must see part of FiJi.
Been to Denarau 4 years in a row up to and including last year. Love the place, lpve the people. Wish I could live there. The locals are friendly, the produce fantastic and the climate sensational. Stayed at Golf terraces, trendwest, and sheraton royal.
LOL Shearton Denarau was like walking onto the set of a bad 70s porn flick. Cheesy, fake and gross. Fiji is expensive- so much better off staying in Australia
