Auckland Bracu Restaurant

Thursday, April 12, 2007

When it comes to natural beauty, New Zealand has been blessed. It is a wonderful country for a driving holiday. Along the way are inviting towns and a delicious range of quality food and wine.

If you are there enjoying a holiday, why not splash out and take a Heletranz Tour to Bracu Restaurant for one of the finest dining experiences imaginable!

You can tailor your own package, but their most popular one is the 15-20 minute flight south of Auckland to the Simunovich Olive Estate in the Bombay hills.

The Croatian family began growing olive trees over two centuries ago, half a world away. The passion and expertise has been handed down through generations, transported to New Zealand, and thrives today at the estate of more than 30,000 olive trees. It overlooks a rolling valley and the family believes it is as charming as their former home on Brac.

Bracu Restaurant is a natural extension of the Simunovich olive growing culture. It oozes country peace and quiet and its food and fine wine deserve the accolades.

At the top of the estate, an untouched kauri villa became the motivation to create something not seen in New Zealand before.

Bracu is a combination of excellent service and striking interior design. Chef Peter Thornley is a passionate professional and his menus offer contemporary preparations of the best ingredients.

To add to the indulgence, Bracu's rare wine library has been carefully selected by manager Daniel Kemp. The beautiful room is apart from the main dining area and it is a treat for diners to choose from 2500 wines from all parts of the world.

Visitors who wish to see the grove and factory should mention this when they book. Should you fancy a bit of clay-bird shooting or a game or two of petanque, that can also be arranged.
