The NZ hotel that makes you go 'oh'...

There are some cities around the world which can be only described as 'dull'. That certainly doesn't apply to Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. On a recent visit, Jason wasn't surprised to learn that it came in at Number four on 2011's list of the Top Ten Places To Visit.
Wellington has gone through a renaissance in recent years and there's plenty to see and do.
The wonderfully named Ohtel is a designer, boutique property in the seaside neighbourhood of Oriental Bay.
There are just ten rooms in the 4.5 star property which is adjacent to Wellington's entertainment precinct. Studio and deluxe rooms, suites and the lobby are adorned with treasures collected by owner Alan Blundell. From chairs to ceramics, tables to clocks, guests are delighted by the touches and being surrounded by such beautiful reminders of the '50s and '60s.
