What's your favourite vacation spot and why?
I go to so many different places. There's a place in Australia … that I love called Port Douglas.
In Far North Queensland?
Yes I was there; gorgeous lots of nature, beautiful.
And did you go to the Great Barrier Reef?
Yeah, I went diving, but [with] the Great Barrier Reef, you need to actually go further up. That 's a trip I wouldn't mind taking almost to New Guinea, up towards Indonesia. I mean, I heard there are problems up there, [but it's still] beautiful. I [also] love Rome. I've had short trips that have been fun. In America, Vermont is one of my favourite states. I have my family house in the mountains and that's really beautiful there.
What's your number one travel tip?
Try to get away with not checking in a bag because in this day and age, you spend a lifetime waiting for it if you even get it. It's very hard.
How do you do that?
Find a way [where] you can have a small bag and fit everything in it. Travel light.
What do you never leave home without?
A good book.
What is your ultimate travel destination?
I haven't been to Tahiti and those islands yet. I haven't been to Rio yet but I don't know if I'll be able to go. Boy, there're so many places to go.
Your favourite location on Sex and the City?
New York. We [also] had a good time in Paris; that was fun.
What's the most prized possession or souvenir you've bought?
A painting in Africa. It's of a woman and it's sort of an abstract portrayal of a women but [the artist is] an interesting painter; it's an interesting colour scheme. That's one thing about travel I always try to find who the artists are in that country and buy one of their paintings. When I was in South Africa I bought a painting that I love very much, and in Bali I bought one.
