Getaway's Big Adventure: Remote islands and extreme activities

09:00 AEST Thu Jan 5 2012
Catch Getaway's Big Adventure summer series special tonight, where the team take on some of the world's most thrilling experiences in the most extreme places.

Kelly Landry lives like she's on Survivor in one of the show's filming locations, the remote Palau, while Jules Lund heads on jaw-dropping sky safari over Western Australia's little-known Abrolhos Islands. Not for the faint-hearted!

Meanwhile, Ben Dark experiences West Papua's untouched Misool Island, and Dermott Brereton goes to the other end of the world to Finland for a trip on an Arctic icebreaker cargo ship.

Getaway airs 7.30pm tonight on Channel Nine.

Hi Getaway fans Thanks for your comments, and for tuning in on Channel Nine and GEM. The GEM one-hour summer special did indeed include Sorrell's Papua New Guinea cruise, and you can watch it again and find out more info by searching 'Papua New Guinea' on the Getaway search bar on the right, further up the page. The first two stories you will find are the two parts of Sorrell's cruise. Please note that the prices for the cruise may have changed as this is a repeat episode. Best regards Getaway
