Do you have a favourite holiday destination?
So far my favourite place is also where I went and shot tropic thunder and it's Hawaii.
Is there one thing that you never leave home without?
Ah car keys if I'm driving, either that or I go out to the car and I come back in and grab them again but I feel really stupid when that happens. Let me think about answering that question honestly, give me about 10 minutes. Time starts now; did I say car keys already?
Yeah you did. If you're going on holidays, is it a good book? Is it your favourite hat?
I would say I'd really like to ... like today rather than climb up on the (Harbour) bridge and see how scared I can get in the course of two hours without actually getting any exercise we went and rode bikes around Centennial Park. I think the best way to see a city is to get out and be physically active.
What's the best thing about your job?
Probably the fact that you get to meet with and work with so many interesting people and in the space of time in shooting the film you get to create and enjoy relationships.
Do you have a favourite city in the world?
Well you know, I really don't want to knock LA it's my home town.
What's your favourite meal?
My favourite meal would be a piece of well-done fish, a nice salad and some really good sides a really exceptional ice tea, possibly flavoured ... maybe green, maybe passionfruit. I'd also like to add perhaps some crème brûulée or a nice Tarte Tatin and also I'd like to pound a couple of espressos right when I'm done and blow a cigar.
How different is the LA that the tourists see to the LA that you live in?
Well I imagine it's the same thing as Sydney, like I'm the schmuck who came here and stayed in a five-star hotel and rode bikes around a park but I didn't see anything that's going on between here and the park and I'm sure that's what Sydney really is everything between here and there. I guess the best way to see a city and really understand it is get with people there who aren't going to take you places they think your supposed to because you're a tourist they just show you what they're doing that day and how they roll.
