Europe cruise with Scenic Tours

  • London: start with three nights in London at the 18th-century Millennium Hotel. Be welcomed at Heathrow by a Scenic Tours tour director and transferred to your hotel in the heart of Mayfair. On day two, after a hearty English breakfast, join your guide for a London tour, ride on the London Eye and cruise to Greenwich for dinner at the Trafalgar pub.
  • Amsterdam: take in Dutch masters at world renowned museums in Holland's delightful 700-year-old capital.
  • Cologne: take part in a guided sightseeing tour in one of Germany's largest cities.
  • Rüdesheim: the perfect example of a wine town in the Rhine Gorge, this is a beautiful stretch of the river. Ride the Winzerexpress mini train, visit Siegfried's Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum.
  • Miltenberg: a guided tour of the Bavarian village on the Main River, with medieval and Renaissance houses and the Gothic splendour of the Merchant Hall.
  • Würzburg: the pearl of the Romantic Road, visit the Bishop's Residenz and vineyards.
  • Bamberg: guided sightseeing in the World Heritage site of medieval Bamberg, its breathtaking cathedral, Old Town Hall straddling the river and serpentine streets with 18th-century mansions and charming houses.
  • Nuremberg: despite WWII damage, much of Nuremberg has been restored to its original style. Gothic churches and elegant patrician houses are part of the tour.
  • Regensburg: one of Germany's best-preserved medieval cities, take in architectural highlights of the Old Town Hall and white and gold Old Chapel. Visit Thurn und Taxis Castle and impressive St Emmerammus Abbey buildings.
  • Passau-Linz: start your Austrian experience at the confluence of the rivers Inn, Ilz and Danube. Graceful arcades and cobblestone streets await.
  • Melk-Dürnstein: a guided visit to Melk's magnificent Benedictine Abbey and Dürnstein's baroque Stiftskirche with its blue façade, in the heart of the Wachau wine region.
  • Vienna: the city of music which inspired the genius of Mozart, Beethoven and Strauss. See the lavish Hofburg Palace, the Vienna Opera House, Ringstrasse and St Stephen's Cathedral. Leave some time to enjoy a sachertorte or apfelstrudel in a neighbourhood café.
  • Bratislava: the capital of Slovakia at the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains. Visit the charming Old Town with its Town Hall, Mirbach Palace and Gothic St Martin's Cathedral.
  • Budapest: the capital of Hungary is eastern Europe's liveliest, most cosmopolitan city. See the seven bridges connecting Buda on the right bank of the Danube and Pest on the left. Matthias Church and Fishermen's Bastion are impressive.
  • Prague: three days in the capital of the Czech Republic. The Old Town is riddled with medieval lanes. Take a sweet break at the city's most famous coffee house. Enjoy dinner at a traditional tavern. Explore the baroque quarter of Mala Strana and the Jewish Quarter of Josefov. Climb the 299 steps of Petrin Hill to the Observation Tower for the best views of the city. After breakfast on your last day, you will be transferred to Prague International Airport.

    The Getaway crew joined the 15-day Amsterdam to Budapest cruise for seven days, as far as Bamberg in Germany. The cruise continued to Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. Passengers flew from Budapest to London at the end of their journey.

    Scenic Tours has 21 day London to Prague Tours featuring three nights in London, a fifteen day Scenic Tours Private Charter River Cruise and finishing with three nights in Prague. Prices start at $7395 per person twin share. Airfares, taxes and port charges are not included. Accommodation, meals and all sightseeing are included.
