Western Australia’s capital city Perth is one of the most remote cities on earth. It’s famous for long white beaches, wineries, rugged desert landscapes rolling to the Indian Ocean and, thanks to the mineral-rich land, it is blossoming.
Natalie was surprised at how much the city has grown and changed since her last visit. It’s attracting visitors from all over the world, and some things definitely needed a make-over, particularly the ugly duckling Burswood Casino.
No corners were cut in its massive renovation. $750 million was invested in what was Burswood which has become Crown Perth on the banks of the Swan River. The project was not just a rebranding – it was a complete transformation and has evolved into a place that offers something for everyone.
