Do you want to be waited on hand and foot and be completely pampered? We’ll lead you the way.
Just half an hour from Perth, Hidden Valley provides a wonderful environment for a relaxing break. The B&B is set in 5.6ha of jarrah forest and is not only popular with people looking for somewhere private close to Perth, but those who like to see local wildlife as well as a quirky collection of domestic pets, including a miniature donkey, alpacas and goats.
Owners Melissa and David Simpson live by their motto, "where privacy, relaxation and luxury are a priority".
There are two self-contained villas with private balcony, each with spa overlooking the jarrah forest, thanks to clever architecture.
The villas have wood-burning fireplaces, reverse-cycle air-conditioning, television, video, CD and pay television, gas barbecue, plenty of hammocks and mountain bikes for the energetic.
Jarrah is used extensively throughout the fully-equipped villas. Treats such as local handmade chocolates, an aromatherapy gift pack and a bottle of local wine greet you. A gourmet breakfast is included in the tariff and platters and picnic baskets can be made on request. If you fancy a candlelit dinner, that can be arranged as well.
Melissa is trained in massage. You can choose from a range of relaxing Balinese or Swedish-style therapies, using Milkwood aromatherapy products, created by the Simpsons with friends in Bali.
There are plenty of things to see in the vicinity. Wineries, quaint tea shops and gourmet shops are just eight minutes away in Kalamunda.
A scenic half-hour drive south-east of Perth
Hidden Valley villas start at $220 per night. Champagne, chocolates, gourmet breakfast and an aromatherapy gift pack are included.
Please note prices are valid at time of filming.
