This is style, this is class and this is hip and it is at the Albany hotel in the heart of happening Melbourne.
The Albany is a cross between a hotel and a motel. It is surrounded by parklands and is close to shopping, bars and restaurants. All forms of public transport are available and the CBD is just two kilometres away.
Three buildings make up the property. The original mansion houses the six Mansion Rooms and Penthouse. These are spacious, with lounge areas and fireplaces, high ceilings and large windows.
The Penthouse has a fully-equipped kitchen, living and dining area which has a pretty, leafy outlook. The bathroom is spacious, with a funky frameless shower and spa, while the master bedroom has a king bed and bay window with views over Fawkner Park. A second bedroom has a queen bed.
The hotel building accommodates executive, standard and superior rooms and the motel building has superior and standard rooms.
The décor of the 20 superior rooms is either deep chocolate with dark timber or cool blonde with silver accessories. All have modern bathrooms and extensive mini bars.
Light-filled executive rooms are luxurious and have whitewashed timber and white and cream interiors. They have king or queen beds and modern bathrooms.
Standard rooms are the least expensive. There is a range of single, double and family rooms. Each has large windows giving leafy outlooks, plus ensuite bathrooms.
Breakfast is served every morning in the ground floor restaurant.
The Albany has its own Rolls Royce available for trips to the airport or anywhere else guests wish to go.
