The Nunnery staff are very friendly and create a homely atmosphere in this bright, comfortable and clean backpacker hotel.

Two fully equipped kitchens, a cosy communal lounge and a courtyard with barbecue are provided. Apart from being very useful, these are great places to meet and swap stories with other travellers. You can join in the wine and cheese nights, movie nights or hop on the Party Tram.

The Nunnery has laundry facilities and phone, fax and Internet services. There is even free storage space, where you can leave all the bits and pieces you don’t need to carry with you on your travels.

For people who want to stay a while and work in Melbourne, The Nunnery has good access to the Backpackers Resource Centre.
