Ben fly-fishing.
Dinner Plain in Victoria's high country.
Ben takes a horse ride through Victoria’s high country to learn all there is to know about fly-fishing.
The art of fly-fishing is all in the way you cast the line. The smooth, elongated waving motion should be repeated over and over until you feel confident you can place the fly just where you want.
Glenn makes the flies himself, and they resemble live insects found in the area, such as mayflies and damsel flies. He also makes beetle and moth look-alikes.
After a couple of hours you will enjoy a campfire lunch, and then it's back to the fishing before packing up and heading back to Dinner Plain.
Trips from one to five days can be tailored to your needs.
Location
The Cobungra River, near Hotham in the Victorian High Country.
