Trekking the Croajingolong National Park

17:30 AEST Sat Jun 29 2013

Croajingolong, half-way between Sydney and Melbourne, unwraps itself like a giant evergreen canvas for 100 kilometres along Victoria’s coastline. Its southern side is the Pacific Ocean, the western side has the Bemm River and Mallacoota is to its east. The north is dense bushland and low hills. It is a landscape so pure and precious that in 1977 the United Nations named it Australia’s first World Biosphere Reserve.

a few years ago I walked from Ben Boyd Tower with friends for 2 days and it was fantastic- sitting (literally) on a cliff edge having morning tea while watching whales frolic below us with a whale watching boat. 2 nd day it rained and we swamin the wild, wild ocean in the storm. Go and experience it.
