Melbourne karting

Thursday, September 18, 2008
Fun City Go Karts is an entertainment complex, only 30 minutes from Melbourne's CBD. Offering fun for everyone, it has a fast 440m indoor go-kart track, which is one of Australia's largest and fastest. You can travel up to 20km/h on the drifting track, and up to 65km/h on the normal track.

A purpose-built drift track has been watered down to create sliding karting! On that one, you slide sideways around corners on a wet course. Drifting is a new form of driving taking the world by storm. It's burning rubber on a wet track, with extreme slideways action all the way!

It's not all about adrenalin racing, though. Have a look at the choice of activities available, spread out over a hectare. The venue is perfect for children's parties, hens' nights, bucks' nights, team-building activities and all sorts of get-togethers.

You can play:

  • laser games in Darkzone Laser Wars
  • pool and billiards on three different sizes of tables
  • amusement machines
  • nine-hole mini golf
  • dodgem cars and mini go-karts
  • on the jumping castle and adventure playground
  • in Destination, an interactive shooting gallery
  • in Skatepark

At the end of it all, you can enjoy a refreshing drink at Southern Star Saloon Bar.

The Melbourne suburb of Braybrook, 10 minutes from the CBD.

Fun City Go Karts cost $15 for a 10 minute session. Helmets and overalls are provided. Drivers must hold a current "drift licence", which costs $5. You can apply for this on the day. They open every day from 9am to midnight.

In September we are opening a new business at the Docklands, Melbourne, its an indoor black light mini golf with an Australiana theme about it and includes all the iconic places that makes Australia, we have State of the Art Lights and Sound and the majority of the game is played under the Black Lights, which is the same kind of lights that is used in Discos and makes all your white clothing glow. we are also using fluorescent colours. we dont have any pictures as yet as its in the process of being built. here is our website, we have also implemented an online booking system which we believe to be a first in Australia for Childrens Birthday Parties other Parties. we would love you to review it when we open. we understand what we are setting up and how its being done is a first in Australia.
