Sullivans Cove on the River Derwent in Hobart was the site of Tasmania's initial European settlement. It is abuzz with activity in the morning with tourists going on vessels to a chocolate factory or art cruise. Catriona chose the Peppermint Bay outing.
The luxurious 23-metre catamaran, Peppermint Bay II, heads south to the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, one of the world's top 10 cruising and sailing waterways. The catamaran carries up to 160 passengers and there's a choice of seating - indoor window seats and lounges and the outer decks.
