Noosa Blue Resort

Thursday, November 21, 2002
Brendon stays at a resort on the Sunshine Coast that has a very Mexican flavour!

Phillip Harding, the developer and proprietor of Noosa Blue, wanted to create a living work of art and bring to life the expertise of Mexico's most revered architect, Ricardo Logoretta. Earth and sky; light and colour; walls and plaster; essence of beauty; spirituality of life all played a part in the creation of the resort. Phillip has been an avid art collector for some time, and guests enjoy the artworks throughout the resort, including many abstract impressionist works from the 1960s and onwards.

Noosa is sub-tropical and enjoys sparkling water, soft clean sand, sheltered bays, wonderfully tempting holiday shopping, a great choice of cafes and gourmet dining and abundant wildlife.

Noosa Blue is on the crest of Noosa Hill with sweeping views of the ocean and hinterland and just 450 metres from Hastings Street, Main Beach and Noosa Junction.

The luxury resort has 65 air-conditioned, self-contained suites, each with spa. They have ceiling fans, television, video, CD player, e-mail and Internet access, kitchenette and balcony.

The Oasis Enclave has six suites and six penthouses, a separate pool and entertaining area.

Penthouse Suites have the added luxury of a 40 square metre rooftop garden, four-person spa, barbecue, cable television and premier appliances.

There are luxury lounges, a licensed pool bar, children's pool, water slide and grotto.

For those wanting to do something active, there is state-of-the-art cybex cardio-vascular equipment, Star Strength weight equipment or you can enjoy massage, full body exfoliating scrub, reflexology, steam room, heated pool and spa and Padi scuba diving.

Other entertainment in the area includes deep sea fishing, diving, golf, Harley Davidson rides, parasailing, parachuting, river canoeing, snorkelling, tennis and camel trekking.
