For the best selection, book early. Most accommodation is booked a year in advance for the busy times school holidays, Christmas and Easter. For other holiday periods it is advisable to book at least six months ahead.
Establish if there is a minimum number of nights' rental. Most houses have a minimum of a week's stay, but there are some units and townhouses which can be rented by the night. Some have a three-night minimum.
Always check that linen is provided. Some properties provide everything but beach towels, but other places provide no linen at all.
