After hopping into a pair of racing overalls and donning a helmet you're ready for the thrill of a lifetime, riding in one of their racing buggies through 250ha of specially designated forest, reaching high speeds, going sideways and making breathtaking jumps.
The buggies are powered by a 16 valve twin cam racing engine — ¾ tonne of pure grunt! They have racing safety features inbuilt, including 5.3" safety harnesses and SAS racing seats. They are fast and furious — perfect for anyone who loves the thrill of speed.
Beginners and experienced off-road drivers can take the self-drive circuit over six laps, under full instruction at your own pace. As each lap is completed, confidence grows. The driver becomes more familiar with how the buggy handles and can choose the best lines of the circuit. On the last lap drivers are flicking from left to right and hitting jumps to get as much 'air time' as they can.
Then the driver is ready to participate in a hot lap of The Forest circuit, which is definitely not for the faint hearted. An instructor takes control of the wheel for an adrenalin pumping eight kilometre ride. It's a real off-road experience.
Those not ready to self-drive can act as navigator to an instructor — an experience that still gets the adrenalin pumping. You control the pace and let the instructor know whether you want to go faster or slow down.
The minimum age for passengers is 12, and self-drivers have to be at least 16. A licence is not required, and all participants are required to sign a waiver of liability form.
