Yorkeys Beach Bures

Thursday, July 13, 2000
Just metres from the beach, your very own Polynesian cabana awaits you with pools, restaurants and shops nearby — and all in tropical north Queensland.

Just 50m from the beach, the bures are set in 1.5ha of palm-tree covered, landscaped gardens and have a barbecue area, lagoon — complete with turtles, fish and eels — and a Polynesian cabana, with a communal cooking area and tables and chairs, where you can mix with other guests if you wish to.

The beach has a stinger net in the wet season, so it's safe for swimming. If you'd rather not chance it, there are two saltwater pools.

If you want to do a bit of exploring in the local area, there is a tour desk. If you have your own vehicle, parking is available and there's a bus stop right outside.

Restaurants, shops, tennis courts and a golf course are within walking distance and there are a huge variety of things to do and see a bit further on: take a ride on the famous Kuranda Rail, take an island cruise or visit the Atherton Tablelands or Daintree Rainforest.

Yorkeys Knob, 15 minutes north of Cairns in Queensland.

Yorkeys Bures start at $25 per person twin-share or $275 per week per couple. GST is included.
Please note prices are valid at time of transmission and to the best of our knowledge are inclusive of GST.
