The Gold Coast Polo and Country Club in Guanaba is a leading establishment for equine sports and activities. Close to Brisbane and Surfers Paradise, it provides world-class facilities and spectator galleries for polo, dressage, show-jumping, train riding, gymkhana and associated activities. There are 62 stables available for agistment, and horses kept there may be maintained by their owner or fed, exercised and cared for by staff. Riding lessons given by qualified coaches and there are saddle groups for children.
The club is a staging ground for Australian thoroughbred polo pony sales of some of the world's best ponies schooled by leading trainers.
Polo lessons and training are available and participants should be fairly capable riders. Before they set you on a horse, you must do a session on the wooden horse while your skill level is appraised.
