The Gold Coast Broadwater stretches north from Southport, past Labrador, Biggera Water, Anglers Paradise, Runaway Bay Hollywell and Paradise Point. It is protected by the Spit to the south and South Stradbroke Island to the north. Its calm waters are perfect for boating, fishing, parasailing, windsurfing and kite surfing and the average annual temperature is a blissful 25¢ªC.
Coomera Houseboats are immaculately maintained and offer many extras mobile phones, depth sounders and fish finders, board games and have a grocery run every Wednesday and Saturday.
Of course you are supplied with good maps of the region and you don't need a special licence, even if you haven't been in control of a boat before. There is a two-way radio on board if you do require assistance.
All you need to take is food, beverages, personal toiletries, a sharp knife, torch, beach towels, fishing gear and the desire to have fun and relax.
