Nat has found is a family friendly holiday hot-spot that is definitely built for the little ones!
Eight Mile Plains is just 10 minutes drive south of Brisbane's CBD. Here you will find Brisbane Holiday Village, sister property of Ashmore Palms on the Gold Coast, a Getaway favourite.
The Village is on 13.5 hectares and offers quality holiday cabins, tourist sites and camping grounds. It has recently undergone refurbishment, with a lagoon pool, playground, tennis court, undercover barbecue area and Cosmo Cabins being added. An 18-hole putt putt golf course is underway.
The Inca theme of the village has relics and rockwork creating a fun, family atmosphere. The large pool area, named Lagoon of the Sun, is lined with Inca scenes with sun and urn water features.
The smaller pool has mushroom-shaped fountains and characters which spurt water.
The Temple of Terrors playground, with loads of equipment and a large tunnel slippery dip, is suitable for children with special needs.
The synthetic tennis court, known as Court of the Warriors, is close to the barbecue pavilion, which doubles as a camp kitchen.
Accommodation is a choice of five self-contained cabin styles Melanesian cabins and holiday villas, three-bedroom family villas, the Palm Cottage and the new Cosmo Cabins. Each has fully-equipped kitchen, air-conditioning and heating and full linen.
Cosmo Cabins were designed to have the style and appeal of an inner-city apartment, with stainless accessories, macro suede lounges, soft furnishings in gentle tones, continental quilts, large televisions, stereo and private carport. Exteriors are olive coloured render and timber.
Caravan and ensuite sites are popular with people travelling with their own accommodation in tow. They enjoy the village's facilities and have easy access to Brisbane city and local attractions.
