Great Barrier Reef by seaplane

17:30 AEST Sat May 12 2012

The Great Barrier Reef snakes 2000km along Queensland's coast. There are many ways to enjoy its beauty; snorkelling, diving, swimming, from a glass-bottom boat, from the air and in shallow places you can walk amongst the corals and tropical fish.

Jason Dundas just had the most amazing and different experience with Cairns Seaplanes. They fly seven-seater Beaver aircraft, known as the safest, most comfortable and reliable seaplanes. They offer a great range of tours, and they can even arrange your wedding!

Jason flew at around 150m above the reef, skimming above Trinity Inlet. The clear waters are home to turtles and humpback whales and the spectacular colours of the reef stretch to the horizon.
