Northern Territory camel safari

17:30 AEST Sat Apr 6 2013

Jules goes outback and visits Kings Creek Station in the Northern Territory. The 1800 square kilometre property is next door to the magnificent Kings Canyon. In the Territory anything 35 kilometres away is close. It takes a 3 hour drive from Uluru to get there and you are guaranteed to see some of Australia’s most spectacular scenery.

Set amongst majestic desert oaks, Kings Creek Station is a working cattle/camel property. Owners Ian and Lyn Conway established it in 1981 when it was dry, barren land. The vacant crown land had no water, electricity, roads, buildings or communications. It has been transformed into a mirage in the desert that is Central Australia. It is as much a tourism attraction as it is a working station.
