Your ultimate fishing adventure complete with a bird's eye view ... from a helicopter!
Your ultimate fishing adventure begins at Darwin Airport. There you will board a helicopter, which first takes you on a scenic flight before dropping you on a remote sandy beach with all your gear and lunch.
Your flight takes off at 7am and it takes around an hour before landing on a Fog Bay beach. Such a remote place is known only among locals and can be reached only by air or sea.
Once there you join a 7m shark cat and head off for a day of sea fishing. The Northern Territory is a hot fishing spot, combining sportfishing action with a remote wilderness area.
North and South Peron islands are surrounded by an extensive reef system and there are deep drop-offs between them and the mainland. It is in those deep channels that large black jewfish can be found.
A day out can be rewarded with a catch of red emperor, coral trout, mackerel, long tail tuna, queenfish, trevally, saratoga and, of course, the highly prized barramundi. They are aggressive predators and great fighting fish, giving strong runs, high humps and rod bending lunges.
Chopper Tours can tailor an adventure for you fishing, hunting or just sightseeing.
