Avalon is a mecca for surfers and a hot spot for hippies and this b&b is perfect for you!
Stokes Point is a secluded part of Sydney on the Pittwater side of the northern beaches peninsula, overlooking Careel Bay. It is beautifully serene and just under an hour from the centre of Sydney.
Ku-ring-gai National Park, West Head, Cottage Point, Barrenjoey Lighthouse and Hawkesbury River are all close-by for day trips and there is easy access to Palm Beach, Avalon, Manly and other sandy strips in between.
There is plenty of wildlife: colourful lorikeets, parrots, kookaburras and other native birds aren't hard to spot, while fairy penguins and pelicans visit Careel Bay to feed.
There are loads of things to do on the peninsula including surfing, sailing and cruising charters, ferry trips on Pittwater and the Hawkesbury, bush walks, golfing, fishing, tennis, seaplane flights, canoeing, kayaking and windsurfing.
Pelican-Rest B&B offers a choice of two types of self-contained luxury apartment. The first suite consists of a queen-sized bedroom, bathroom and sitting room with water views and terrace overlooking the pool and bay.
The second consists of a studio with queen-sized bed, sitting and kitchen areas, large bathroom and private courtyard.
Both are decorated in beachhouse style and have microwave, refrigerator, toaster, television and sound systems.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the pool which is on a large deck overlooking Careel Bay.
There is a choice of breakfast which can be served beside the pool, in your room, on the deck or in the tropical courtyard.
