Dust off the hat, shine the shoes & get the cash ready. We are set to have a flutter at Sydney's grandest racecourse!
The first race meeting was held at Royal Randwick Racecourse in 1833. It falls under the auspices of the Australian Jockey Club which was formed in 1842.
There are 39 races held there each year, the major events being the Doncaster Handicap, AJC Australia Derby and The Sydney Cup.
Those who love a day at the races have a particular fondness for Randwick. They love to wander along the stables, enjoy the beautifully kept gardens and maybe have a cool drink between races.
The course operate year round and has races on selected days.
Special bus services operate from Central Railway and Circular Quay on weekends and public holidays.
Facilities are available for birthdays, weddings, meetings and seminars.
