Calling all city apartment dwellers; how about you get away from it all in a private country escape?
Here is a wonderful get-away-from-it-all place, not far from Berry and the beautiful south coast of New South Wales.
Imagine two cabins on 44ha, positioned for absolute privacy on the edge of a mature spotted gum forest with wonderful views in all directions of meadows, mountains, forests and sky. The cabins have been designed with simple, clean lines, lots of light and absolutely no clutter.
The cabins are owned by Elizabeth Qasabian, whose daughter Rita was the architect. They chose the very appropriate name Sojourn, an old English word meaning "to dwell for a time in a place".
Each has an open floorplan, with living and dining space and full-height glass doors opening onto large decks. Bedrooms have a queen-sized bed, writing desk and day bed. Kitchens are fully equipped and bathrooms have tubs.
Everything is of high quality. There is a CD player, television and video, wood-fired combustion heater, Scandinavian furniture, luxurious bed linen and towels and fine crockery and cookware.
Breakfast provisions are provided fresh fruit, juice, cereal, bacon, eggs and bread. Specialty teas and plunger coffee, honeys and jams are there and barbecue facilities are available if you choose to eat in. However, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from in the locality and the owners will be pleased to give you advice and recommendations.
The area offers everything from bushwalking to surfing, swimming, dolphin-watching, shopping, wine tasting and just plain relaxing.
