This is NSW South Coast seaside chic escape at its best … are you ready for this little beauty?
The towns of Milton, Ulladulla and Mollymook are rural beach towns and offer the best of the amazing southern NSW coastline.
There you can relax and enjoy the beauty of the beaches, forested hinterlands, Pigeon House Mountain, shop, fish, golf and enjoy some outstanding dining.
Bottlenose dolphins often surf in the bay, which abounds in sea life, making it an excellent breeding ground for the pod. During migration seasons, whales are sighted and albatross dive for their favourite meal of cuttlefish.
A wonderful place to stay to enjoy all of this is Bannisters Point Lodge, which sits right on the headland facing north-east to the ocean. Its owner Michael Jordan has just renovated his four-star establishment and treats guests to a good time in peaceful and natural surroundings.
The Lodge has 24 fully-serviced rooms with private balconies, all with superb views across the ocean and beaches, broken only by a large garden.
The restaurant and bar are renowned for the variety and quality they offer. Of course, the restaurant specialises in the freshest of seafood. The cellar is one of the finest in the area.
A room which was a service closet in The Lodge's former life has been transformed into a whale-watching room and guest lounge. It has pool tables, DVD, television, stereos and plenty of comfortable sofas.
Their own little beach, Jones Beach, is just 80 metres away and is good for snorkelling and scuba diving. If you don't fancy sand between your toes, The Lodge has a sparkling saltwater pool.
There are lots of walks around the area and an 18-hole golf course nearby.
