Sports Car Rentals, based in the centre of Sydney, has around 45 sports cars to choose from, from BMW to Porsche, Bentley and even a Ferrari F430 Spyder.
For special occasions and surprises, they offer cars to drivers over 25 for a day to remember.
Start at their office at around 8.30am with a briefing and orientation session where drivers and navigators are issued with maps, driver/vehicle change schedules and allocated starting vehicles.
Hit the road at around 9am and head north-west to the beautiful Hunter Valley.
Vehicle changes along the way enable you to get behind the wheel of your dream cars, including Porsche, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Lotus and Audi.
Lunch is in Pokolbin at Blaxlands Grill. They serve fresh seafood, poultry, tender beef and delicious salads made from local produce. In winter an open fireplace adds to the ambience and in warm weather, guests dine on the verandah overlooking vineyards and roses.
Blaxlands was built in 1976 from convict bricks and stone from the 1829 homestead at nearby Broke Fordwich. John Blaxland was the first free settler in New South Wales. He and his brother settled near Parramatta where they developed a vineyard. They were the first to export wine from Australia in 1822.
Refreshments and snacks are provided along the way and at the end of the day everyone adjourns to the Strand Hotel, where stories are swapped over a cold beer or glass of wine.
